Steven is a seasoned entrepreneur, growth strategist, and former Singapore civil servant with over two decades of experience helping businesses become market leaders.
Before founding Elysis, Steven served with the Singapore government, playing a key role in developing local IT companies into global contenders. His career spans both public policy and private enterprise, giving him unique insight into strategic growth across Asia.

Daphne Tan

Daphne Tan is an accomplished business development and M&A strategist with over a decade of experience driving growth and strategic acquisitions across various industries, including finance, oil & gas, retail, and manufacturing.
She began her career as a Fund Accountant at RBC, then spent four years in business development roles in the oil and gas sector across Asia Pacific. Since 2016, Daphne has focused on M&A, leading deal sourcing, evaluation, and integration as Business Development Director – M&A.

- Advised on M&A strategies and executed successful deals across multiple industries.
- Oversaw investments in e-commerce, F&B, retail, and manufacturing, with a focus on fumigation services.

Dato’ Sri Steven Eng, JP

Dato’ Sri Steven Eng is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and venture strategist with over 20 years of experience in property, finance, and emerging technologies across Asia. He is known for his expertise in corporate finance, M&A, and cross-border market expansion.
Steven chairs several organizations, including Advance Technology Group, BSHK Holdings Limited, and U EcoWorld Berhad, and plays strategic roles in tech, media, and capital markets across ASEAN, China, Japan, Korea, and the Middle East.
Career Highlights:
- Chairman and Director of numerous listed and private companies across tech, finance, and infrastructure.
- Led and advised on multiple public listings across global exchanges including ASX, NYSE, SSEC, and HKEX.
- Early-stage investor and angel capitalist in tech, AIoT, EdTech, FinTech, and PropTech ventures.
- Founder of the “Nobody Community”, a platform to support and mentor young entrepreneurs and future leaders.
- Advisor to global organizations including the United Nations Association (El Salvador) and Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce.
Dato’ Sri Steven is also deeply involved in philanthropy through the DSSEIF Foundation, supporting education, healthcare, and community development across Asia.
His contributions to entrepreneurship, innovation, and ESG have earned him multiple honors, including the Global Brand Venture Capitalist Icon of the Year, Asia Pacific Venture Capitalist Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Malaysia National Youth Award.
